  • Mars Hill University, Broyhill Chapel, 338 Cascade St, Mars Hill, NC 28754

Trust for Public Land, Madison County Conservancy, and Friends of Bailey Mountain are working to conserve a 137-acre land tract on Bailey Mountain ridge furthering ongoing local efforts to protect the natural resources, watersheds of Ivy Creek and French Broad River, and provide accessible nature-based outdoor recreation opportunities. The property is intended to be managed as part of the adjacent Bailey Mountain Preserve, creating a destination for outdoors, ecology and Madison County heritage enthusiasts. Conserving this land will further the communities of Mars Hill and Madison County's abilities to protect their water and viewsheds, shield the rural way of life and promote sustainable eco-and agro-tourism economy.

This is the old Bailey Mountain Bike Park on Bone Camp Rd - this 137-acre area connects to the 350-acre Bailey Mountain Preservation, forming a nearly 500-acre public park linked to downtown Mars Hill.

Please join us to learn about Bailey Mountain Preserve and the Bone Camp Property, share your support, and your input!
